Important victory for women's rights in Canada!
The Supreme Court of Canada has just rejected the challenge to the sex work law, thus confirming the validity of the current law that protects women and children against exploitation and sex trafficking.
This decision sends a clear message: prostitution is not a "job like any other." It is primarily a violence and exploitation that affects mainly the most vulnerable women and girls.
At Réseau féministe québécois, we are pleased with this ruling, which strengthens the Nordic model focused on reducing demand and protecting victims.
Let us remember that last December, we called on all federal MPs to support the Law on the Protection of Communities and Persons Victims of Exploitation (LPCPVE).

Congratulations to all those who have been fighting for years to ensure that the voices of survivors are heard!
The fight continues, but today we can celebrate this progress for the dignity and safety of women.
